1. Who we are

Wattilla is a B2B marketplace for battery energy storage projects, systems and services. It is operated as a personal non-commercial project by:

For the purposes of the GDPR, Anton Chesnov is the data controller.

2. Data we collect

We collect the following personal data:

  • ·Account data — email address and display name provided at registration.
  • ·Listing data — contact name and email you provide when publishing a listing.
  • ·Inquiry data — messages sent via the contact form on a listing.
  • ·Technical data — IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically by our hosting provider (Vercel).

We do not collect payment information. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. How we use your data

  • ·To provide and operate the Wattilla platform.
  • ·To authenticate you and manage your account.
  • ·To display your listings to other users.
  • ·To forward buyer inquiries to you via email.
  • ·To send platform notifications (new matches, listing updates) if you opt in.

4. Legal basis (GDPR)

  • ·Contract performance — processing your data to provide the service you signed up for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • ·Legitimate interest — basic platform analytics and security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • ·Consent — email notifications and non-essential cookies, which you can withdraw at any time.

5. Data storage & processors

Your data is stored in the EU on infrastructure provided by:

  • ·Supabase (database & authentication) — EU region.
  • ·Vercel (hosting & edge network) — data processed in EU where possible.

Both providers are GDPR-compliant and act as data processors under our agreement.

6. Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Listing data is retained for 12 months after deactivation. You may request deletion at any time.

7. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • ·Access — request a copy of your personal data.
  • ·Rectification — correct inaccurate data.
  • ·Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • ·Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • ·Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • ·Complaint — lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde).

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Significant changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the site. The date at the top of this page always reflects the latest revision.
